Intimidator Group Donates Helmets to Ozarka College

6/7/2024
Intimidator Group recently made an equipment donation valued at $5,000 to Ozarka College in Melbourne for use at its welding centers in Izard, Sharp and Stone counties. On behalf of the local manufacturer, Director of Operations Mike Groeneveld presented 50 helmets to the Ozarka welding program.

“As a company with deep roots in Batesville, one of our top priorities is supporting the economic development of our area through education and training,” Groeneveld said. “Investments in technical programs like those at Ozarka ensure graduates are prepared to enter the local workforce and build successful careers close to home.”

Ozarka’s welding technology program has grown significantly since its launch in August 2018. This spring, 33 students entered the program’s first Advanced Welding Competition that included a high school division in which students from six area high schools participated.

“We are proud to partner with our friends at Intimidator in support of Ozarka’s welding program,” said Dr. Josh Wilson, Vice President of Advancement. “This generosity will directly impact the welding students across our service area.”

Registration is now open for enrollment in the welding program at Ozarka College. For more information, contact the admissions office at (870) 368-2300 or apply online at ozarka.edu. To view open positions at Intimidator Group and apply online, visit intimidatorjobs.com.
