When we say we're a grassroots company, we're not kidding. Our brand wasn't proposed in a fancy conference room at the top of a skyscraper. Far from the boardroom, local entrepreneur Robert Foster sketched the first Spartan mower on a napkin at his kitchen table in Batesville, Arkansas, and forever changed the mowing industry. Driven by his passion for mid-century muscle cars and outdoor power equipment, Robert set out to build a heavy-duty, head-turning zero turn mower, first in his home garage and then at a cutting-edge facility right here in the Ozarks. Quite a bit has changed over the years, but one thing remains the same—when you climb up on a Spartan, you're not just sitting on a piece of lawn equipment. You're at the helm of an American Dream come true.
